Our Story

The promoters of the Falcon Crest Resort are based in nearby Kottayam in Kerala. As natives to that area, and frequent weekend visitors to the little paradise “Vagamon” for years, the idea to create a resort dawned on us around 2013, over a few visits. We wondered as to how we had missed the opportunity to make a home or a resort in the hills till then.

Once the idea germinated in our collective minds, we set about planning and conceptualizing a vision for a boutique resort. We agreed that Vagamon is a perfect hill station to develop a sustainable, boutique, family run resort.

A key design philosophy was to preserve the ecological balance and maintain the sanctity of the bio-diversity of the development site. For that, we had to ensure that the construction and operation of the property aligns with this philosophy. We are proud that we have been able to achieve that, and more. The multiple awards won by the Falcon Crest Resort is testament to our continuing philosophy, our dedicated efforts, our committed staff and to our many patrons, who have made this possible.

The promoters came in with their combined investment comprising not only their personal financial resources but also reputational capital, deep passion and importantly, a desire to offer the best-in-class hospitality service to make this vision, a reality. Thereafter, following a five-year long development period, the formal launch was on 4 January 2015, when we welcomed our first guests. What started as a resort with 4 Two Bedroom Cottages has now grown to 4 Two Bedroom Cottages, 2 Super Deluxe Rooms, 2 Deluxe Rooms and 2 Standard Rooms comprising a total of 14 rooms. The 3-acre resort is a result of a passion for excellence and labor of love for the past several years.
